William Hill Casino Review & Ratings

William Hill is a very prestigious name in online casino sites. I was very eager to try them out. They’re billed as a safe and secure place to play, and are very popular in the UK. They’re practically a household name. I was impressed at first by their slick and modern website, with a wide variety of games listed. They also have banking, security, and support all prominently displayed on their home page, as well as the ability to translate it into a number of languages. There’s a wide selection and a 10 year history to back them up, so I was eager to know if they lived up to the hype.

Software 8/10

I was confused by the William Hill website at first- as the William Hill Casino itself branches out into the William Hill Casino Club, as well as the William Hill Vegas website. These three sites all hold the William Hill name, and a wide selection of games. I stuck with the William Hill Casino site, however. Download and install were very simple, and creating the account was hassle free once I figured out the different sites. Depending on the section, players can download the Poker room or the Casino. Plenty of the casino games were available for play no-download as well, which I liked a lot. The addition of a mobile website is great- players can use their same login details, from just about any smartphone. The slot games on my phone was pretty cool. There’s sportsbetting, bingo, and plenty of casino games to choose from. I was pretty impressed, although all the different pages with various games was a little confusing.

Game Selection 9.5/10

William Hill can be a little overwhelming to navigate at first. The Casino and the Vegas link both have different games, and there’s yet more games under the ‘Games’ tab. Regardless of what you prefer to play, there’s such a wide variety of games here that simply looking for something new to play is a fun distraction. There’s about 200 games to choose from. I spent quite awhile looking around in the downloaded casino and the website, and there were plenty of familiar game titles, as well as games I hadn’t seen before. I found slots, scratch cards, video poker, casual games and much more. The games themselves are organized, but there was so much to choose from I can’t see getting bored here. There’s live games offered as well, for players who really like the brick and mortar experience. I love the jackpot games though, and there was a list of all the jackpots on the side of the website.

Jackpots 9.5/10

I love jackpot games, and William Hill didn’t disappoint me. They have a long list of all 38 jackpot games, all listed in order of the current prize value. As I played, the highest jackpot game was nearly £800,000. Not bad at all! They weren’t all slot games, and it’s nice to have some variety while still getting the chance at big cash prizes.

Large jackpots are always a lot of fun, and while the jackpots aren’t as large as some other sites they do get very generous. On top of the jackpot games on the William Hill site, there’s different games on the Vegas and Casino Club websites to try!

Promotions 9/10

As far as promotions go, William Hill doesn’t stand out for anything extremely generous. However their promotions are still great for new players. I took advantage of a first deposit bonus- it was 100% up to £150. Not bad at all! However their ‘High Rollers’ bonus isn’t too generous. It’s only doubled- up to £300. However they do have reload and match bonuses, and referral bonuses. They may not have had truly generous offers, but free cash is never something to laugh at.

As far as a ongoing promotions, William Hill offers a VIP club and Comp Points. The points are earned for every £ spent in the casino. They even offer double comp points promotions. It’s a pretty simple to understand system, which is always a great bonus. Some sites use overly complicated VIP systems that players spend more time trying to understand than they do earning points! The VIP levels don’t seem to have much benefit to them, unfortunately. The entry level Bronze offers a conversion of 95 points to £1, but the highest level Platinum only has a conversion level of 80 points to £80. There’s also promotions, higher limits, and more associated with VIP membership. However this isn’t an automatic entry club- players must be invited. I haven’t yet qualified, and I’ve been told that a “VIP Manager” will contact me when I do.

Banking Options 9/10

Like many of the biggest online casinos, William Hill has an good selection of banking options. They offer all the most popular online options which include Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Paypal, Neteller, POLi, uKash, PaysafeCard, ClickandBuy, and Skrill. On top of this players can simply walk into a William Hill shop and purchase vouchers to deposit into their accounts with cash or debit as well. While the list of options may not be overly long, they’re all popular and secure deposit methods.

Customer Service 10/10

It’s not unusual to offer 24 hour support, but William Hill really surprised me in the wide variety of options players have to contact support. Multiple fax lines, email addresses and phone numbers for players to get ahold of staff, as well as an indepth FAQ that has a search function. However my favorite method to contact staff is the Live Chat option. And thanks to their retail locations, that’s just yet another way players can find assistance. I was impressed!
